SELF LOVE:SELF WORTH

I AM ENOUGH AND COMPLETE

For the longest time I have always heard people say love yourself. It was not easy for me to practice self love since i had no clear understanding what it meant. For me self love, self worth, selfless self esteem and self confidence, had more or less meaning .I realised we need to understand what it means to love yourself before practicing it. In this blog I share my understanding of self love and I know it will enlighten someone who might not have a clear understanding of pure self love

Self worth is not self esteem. Self esteem is derived from our abilities, our accomplishments, social positions and achievements. It also come by our skills our performance and our self esteem goes up and down depending on how we are doing in various aspects of our life.

On the opposite our self worth self love is unconditional. It’s never about comparing ourselves to others,it’s not something we can have more or have less. Self worth is unconditional self love, and the sense that you deserve to be alive, to be loved and cared for . It is not from how things looks like or how others think of you,but how you yourself loves and cares for you

Embrace and love the things that make you different. This is what makes you special. There is no one on this planet like you, so you cannot compare yourself to someone else.
Get in touch with your inner dialogue. If it’s anything less than loving, encouraging and supportive, it’s time to make a change. Have a positive inner dialogue
You will love yourself more, when you take better care of your basic needs. People high in self-love nourish themselves daily through healthy activities, nutrition , exercise, proper sleep, and healthy social interactions.

Give up the need for approval from others. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.” — Dita Von Teese
